Nigerians who intend to take part in the planned nationwide protest are urged by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to provide their information to the Commissioners of Police in their individual states by Friday.
It was reported that Egbetokun made this claim while speaking to reporters in Abuja.
“We acknowledge Nigerian citizens’ constitutional right to peaceful assembly and protest,” Egbetokun declared.
Nonetheless, we ask any organizations organizing protests to send the relevant information to the state’s commissioner of police in order to maintain public safety and order.
