‘Declare Ezenwa Onyewuchi’s Seat Vacant’ – Labour Party Gives Akpabio Three-Day Ultimatum

The Labour Party (LP) chapter in Imo State has requested that Senate President Godswill Akpabio declare Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi’s seat in Imo East (Owerri) vacant due to his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to News360 Info, Akpabio announced Onyewuchi’s decision to switch to the APC on the Senate floor on Tuesday. Onyewuchi was elected to the Senate in 2023 on the platform of the Labour Party (LP).

Following his defection, the legislator affirmed his backing for Governor Hope Uzodinma and President Bola Tinubu.
