Ndume made these remarks while meeting with a group of women’s organizations and supporters, which included ward coordinators and some unit coordinators from his senatorial district. These women had come to see him after he had been removed from his roles as chief whip and vice-chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations because of his remarks criticizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s current administration, which he claimed was marked by “hunger and insecurity.”
On Thursday, during a solidarity visit, Ndume’s coordinators from each of the 101 Wards in the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Biu, Hawul, Bayo, Shani, Gwoza, Chibok, Kwaya Kusar, Askira-Uba, and Damboa stormed the senator’s Maiduguri residence and vowed to support him in all political ramifications.
