Lagos Assembly Begs Youths Over Planned Protest, Tables Request Before Sanwo-Olu

In a plenary session on Thursday, the Lagos State House of Assembly urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to take decisive action to stop the state’s planned nationwide protest.

The lawmakers noted the destruction caused by the 2020 EndSARS protest in Lagos in a “Matter of Urgent Public Importance” introduced by Majority Leader Noheem Adams. They also urged the governor to set up town hall meetings with key stakeholders to devise strategies for calming the youths and those who intend to support the proposed protest.
