While acknowledging his involvement in a number of protests over his political career, President Bola Tinubu emphasized the significance of observing nonviolence during protests.
At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President said these things after accepting the Letter of Credence from Mr. Richard Mills Jr., the recently appointed US Ambassador to Nigeria.
President Tinubu stressed throughout the event the importance of nonviolent protests in a democratic society, emphasizing that they are both a necessary component of democracy and a right avenue for citizens to voice their complaints.
