‘He Promised Me He Would Be Alright’ – Peter Obi Heartbroken By Death Of Ohanaeze Leader, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu

The Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president in 2023, Peter Obi, has conveyed his condolences for the passing of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Obi claims he is devastated by the elder statesman’s passing.

Recall that Jide Iwuanyanwu, the late Chief Emmanuel’s son, announced the death in a statement on Thursday, according to News360 Info. The 82-year-old Iwuanyanwu passed away on Thursday following a brief illness, said the announcement.

In a statement released on Thursday night in response to the events, Obi recalled that he had visited the late Iwuanyanwu in the hospital and that the older statesman had told him he will soon be okay.
