Celine Dion charges $2m to perform one song at Olympic ceremony

Celine Dion, a famous Canadian singer, is set to receive $2 million (about N3 billion) for a one-time comeback performance at the 2024 Olympics.

According to TMZ, the singer will earn $2 million for her performance at the Paris Olympic Games’ opening ceremony on Friday, July 26, 2024.

This followed the singer’s appearance at the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris prior to to her performance on Friday.

Celine previously voiced her long-held desire to return to Paris and visit the Eiffel Tower again.

According to reports, the 56-year-old had taken a break from her work after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

She made her first public appearance lately, at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

In other news, Sulaimon Shekoni, popularly known as Khaid, a 19-year-old music artist, has released a strange statement on social media following his comeback from a long unknown illness.

The ‘With You’ singer has been hospitalized at an unnamed health facility since April 2024, when he was treated for intestinal hemorrhage.

Khaid made a stunning return to his social media on Wednesday, July 24, describing himself as a ‘Young Trump’.

However, in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the youngster discussed how some unknown individuals attempted to set him up while emphasizing that he cannot be silenced.

The Neville Records signee then begged for his enemies to live long enough to reap the benefits of their efforts.

Furthermore, Khaid praised God for giving him the strength to conquer a life-threatening health issue that others would not have survived.

He wrote:

”Y’all set me up but can never Shut me up. FYI, I’m Young Trump, I wish y’all long life so y’all can reap what you’ve sown accordingly.

“Thank God for helping me overcome what many would face and die, them no fit hold the Boy, We Rise Again!”
