In relation to the shooting that took place on Thursday on Airport Road in Benin City, which resulted in the murder of Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor, the Edo State Police Command has extended invitations to a number of people for interrogation.
aThe event took place while Senator Okpebholo and the newly reinstated Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, were arriving in Benin City from the airport.
Additionally, the police apologized to Senator Okpebholo for calling him only “one Monday” in the past, a remark they admitted was derogatory given his rank.
