According to Grammy-nominated Nigerian musician David Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, Afrobeats artists are now on par with global music icons such as Drake.
Davido revealed this, according to NEWS 360 INFO, at a panel discussion with leaders in Nigeria’s creative industries and the US Advisory Council on Africa Diaspora Engagement.
Davido emphasized that, like their pop and hip-hop contemporaries, Afrobeats musicians are now selling out venues and making astronomical sums of money.
