Barely 24 hours after former United States President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt in Butler Pennsylvania, Trump-inspired MAGA coin, a meme coin surged by 46.9 percent to $9.30 from $6.31.
This is according to Gecka’s data on Sunday.
The data showed that the surge in the price of value of Maga coin made its market capitalization grow from $293 million to $469 million in hours.
Similarly, the report noted that MAGA hats also witnessed a brief 21 percent spike after the assassination incident which set off a flurry of reactions online.
This comes after the 45th president survived assassination in Butler Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Trump in a statement said the bullet went through the upper part of his right ear.
Meanwhile, the US Secret Service said the attacker, Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania has been killed.
The incident had drawn condemnation from World leaders.
