The Labour Party (LP) has hailed the Supreme Court’s decision on local government autonomy as a democratic triumph.
The Supreme Court’s ruling, according to the Labour Party, was long overdue, but “it is better late than never.”
The LP released a statement at the same time that President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, accused Peter Obi, a previous LP presidential contender, of remaining silent and failing to applaud the Supreme Court’s decision.
