Stakeholders have revealed that the National Assembly is pressing to approve the measure intended to stop sexual harassment in Nigeria and to combat it at higher education institutions.
According to reports, this occurs at the same time that Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, the head of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), expressed alarm over the rising number of complaints of sexual harassment that are occurring in primary and secondary schools across the country.
Stakeholders examined the problem at a one-day national dialogue on reducing sexual harassment on Tuesday in Abuja, which was hosted by the Gender Mobile Initiative.
