Sokoto Assembly Demands That The Amendment To The LG Bill Does Not Dethrone Sultan

Misconceptions regarding the revision of “A Bill For A Law To Consolidate The Local Government Law 2008” have been dispelled by the Sokoto State House of Assembly.

The explanation was given during the House Committee on Local Government and Community Development’s report presentation during a recent plenary session.

Sa’idu Ibrahim, the committee chairman, stressed that the changes are not intended to change the Sultan’s standing, but rather to improve local administration.
