Rape: Former NSCDC Officer Found Guilty of Life in Prison

Olukayode Dayo, a former member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), was found guilty of rape and given a prison sentence.

According to reports, the Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti sentenced the guy, who was in his 40s, to life in prison.

On May 13, 2022, Dayo was first put on trial for a single count of rape before Judge Lekan Olatawura.

The indictment claims that Olukayode Dayo committed the crime of raping a 13-year-old girl on December 25, 2021, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, within the court’s jurisdiction.
