At a commercial bank in Ughelli, Delta State, a dramatic armed robbery occurred on Friday. Three persons were injured, including a private security officer, and a bank customer was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.
The bank is located on Isoko Road in Otovwodo. The heist, which was carried out in broad daylight by a group of five armed men using a Toyota Venza, caused considerable alarm along the road.
Witnesses told The Nation that the robbers, who had seemingly followed their victim to the bank, fired gunshots intermittently before robbing three “Ghana Must Go” bags full of cash as the client got closer to the entrance.
