Following their visit with President Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has expressed a high sense of confidence in winning the upcoming governorship election. They have attributed their optimism to the ongoing discord among the ranks of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP’s primary election was ruled unlawful by the Abuja Federal High Court, which has changed Edo State’s political landscape.
The PDP’s governorship candidate, Mr. Asuen Ighodalo, was chosen in a primary where genuine delegates were denied the right to vote, as referenced by the court. It appears that the PDP’s legal predicament has tipped the odds in the APC’s favor.
