Orji Uzor Kalu, a senator from Abia North, has argued that the federal government ought to provide a minimum salary of more than ₦62,000 for Nigerian workers.
Because civil servants deserve decent treatment and because the minimum salary hasn’t increased in the last five years despite national inflation, the former governor argued that President Bola Tinubu should raise it to ₦90,000.
In addition, Kalu stated that while the President has performed admirably in certain areas of the economy, there is still a need to address the issue of hunger in Nigeria and increase the country’s food supply.
