The Indigenous People of Biafra have demanded that the South-East be freed from the trafficking of teenagers, both male and female, and from both domestic and international sexual exploitation.
The recent viral videos showing some young girls from the South-East being trafficked for prostitution in Ghana were deemed a troubling development by the pro-Biafran group.
This was said in a statement released on Saturday and signed by IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful. The statement also noted that IPOB opposes human trafficking and sexual exploitation in all its forms.
