A 23-year-old lady described how she took a day-old infant from a bed at an Adamawa State hospital.
The infant was taken from a clinic in Ngurore, a Yola South Local Government Area hamlet, by the mom, Maryam Sani.
Maryam told reporters that she needed to conceive a child when her purported pregnancy came to term because she had miscarried three months into it and had kept the news to herself.
She disclosed that she spotted a chance to steal a baby from the clinic when she arrived for a check-up because she wasn’t feeling well and discovered that the ward was empty.
