A soldier attached to the 144 Battalion’s Forward Operation Base (FOB) at Ngwa High School, Abayi, Osisioma local government area, and serving under the 14 Brigade Headquarters, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Barrack, Ohafia, Ohafia local government area of Abia State, shot himself to death.
The guy, a senior non-commissioned soldier known only as Vitalis, took his own life in front of the FOB gate, according to The Nation.
Since there was no suicide note found when the report was filed, the cause of the suicide in front of the army camp is unknown.
