A suspect has been taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly hitting a 65-year-old man in the head severely with a hammer at the Pako Bus Stop in Iyana Ipaja.
At 8:30 p.m. on Monday, the 29-year-old suspect—who went by the name Sodiq Ishola—was taken into custody.
After being restrained from hurting the victim any more, he was taken into custody.
Police preliminary investigations showed that the suspect and his accomplice rode bikes from Lagos Island to Iyana Ipaja, following the victim and his spouse.
He had already severely injured his victim’s head before being apprehended by RRS patrolling operatives.
