Ondo: Akeredolu transmits power to deputy governor, begins medical leave

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has asked his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to assume his responsibilities in an acting capacity while he proceeds on medical leave from Wednesday.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the governor’s spokesman, Richard Olatunde.

The statement noted that the governor, who has been ill since January, will “prioritise his health and ensure a full recovery before resuming his official duties”.
