#KogiDecides2023: APC Will Turn Tomorrow’s Election To ‘Festival’ – Yahaya Bello

The incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will turn tomorrow’s off-cycle governorship election into a festive occasion.

News360 Info understands Governor Bello stated this while appealing to all stakeholders involved in the polls to maintain peace and orderliness.

The APC chieftain, who was addressing party faithful in Lokoja, the state capital, on Thursday in preparation for the election, said maintaining peace is key to the poll’s success.

Bello boasts that the ruling party is coasting to victory, considering the loyalty of its supporters during the just concluded campaign and the achievement of his administration.

“Saturday’s election is so crucial to APC, hence the importance of maintaining peace and orderliness throughout the entire electoral process. More so, I’m so confident that, considering the dedication of party members throughout the campaign and the achievements of his administration, APC will secure a resounding victory,” Governor Bello said.

The Kogi governor added, “By God’s grace, we shall turn the election day into a festive occasion marked by celebration and entertainment.”

Governor Bello consistently warned against any activities that could cause disturbance and emphasized that violent behaviour would be handled following the law.

He encouraged the public to work with law enforcement officials to ensure a peaceful and organized electoral process, assuring them that the officers would safeguard the voters during the exercise.

Additionally, Bello urged the people of Kogi to vote for Ododo Usman and his running mate, Joel Salifu, who are the APC candidates.
