Supreme Court Passes Final Judgement, Dismisses Peter Obi’s Appeal On Double Nomination

The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, challenging President Bola Tinubu’s election victory on double nomination.

News360 Info reports that the Supreme Court passed a final judgement on all petitions filed before it challenging the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal election, which declared Tinubu as the winner of the February 25th poll conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Earlier, the Supreme Court, presided by Justice John Okoro, dismissed the petitions filed by candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on the ground that they lacked merit.

It subsequently, ruled out all petitions by Obi, saying they were related to the appeal by his PDP counterpart and hence lacked merit.
