Video: How Can You Run Like An Errand Boy To Aso Rock Despite The Power You Have? – Yesufu Blasts Akpabio

Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to reports of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio visiting Aso Rock following a commotion at the red chamber during the ministerial screening of Festus Keyamo.

News360 Info recalls that there was a rowdy session during the ministerial screening of Keyamo on Monday.

A Senator representing Abia central, Darlington Nwokocha insisted on the suspension of the screening exercise.

According to Nwokocha, Keyamo ignored the summon of the national assembly over the employment scheme of 774,000 Nigerians recruited for the special public works programme.

“I move that we suspend forthwith screening of the nomination and wait until when this is cleared,” he said.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who represents Abia south, supported Nwokocha’s motion to step down Keyamo’s screening.

When the senate president put the motion to a voice vote, the ‘nays’ were as loud as the ‘ayes’ after which a rancorous session ensued.

However, shortly after the rowdy session in the upper legislative chambers, Akpabio was sighted with his long covoy visiting President Bola Tinubu.

Reacting to the development via a video shared on her Twitter handle, Yesufu wondered why Akpabio was acting like an errand boy and running to Aso Rock to speak with President Tinubu.

She insisted that all arms of government must remain independent of the other to achieve checks and balances.

The political activist argued that Akpabio is the number 3 in the country, hence he must act according and make decisions autonomously without seeking the president’s approval.
