The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has stated that he called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, because of his post election statement.
It has been reported that Keyamo made this known on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He accused Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, of heating the polity with a potential to causing unrest.
According to Keyamo, there is a procedure to address grievances if one is unsatisfied with the February 25th presidential election.
He stated that it is a delusion of granduer to claim that Nigeria has not President-elect.
Keyamo particularly slammed Baba-Ahmed of stealing peoples mandate when he was sworn-in as a Senator and was later removed by the court.
According to him, the presidential election was flawed but not to the extent of questioning the legitimacy of the whole process.
He stated that Baba-Ahmed, a participant in the election, can not arrogate to him self the judge and jury.
