Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has berated a report alleging that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was plotting to falsify presidential and national assembly election results from its database.
News360 Info understands that supporters of one of the leading presidential candidates accused the electoral body of trying to manipulate the system and rig the election results in favour of another candidate.
Reacting to the unverified claims, Omokri, who served as an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, said no one could alter election results under the current technology used by the INEC.
He further argued that polling agents already have the results that have been publicly declared; hence, reports of attempts to manipulate the outcome of the polls are mere speculations.
“INEC is NOT trying to change any results. Stop spreading such wicked rumours. It is virtually impossible to alter results under the current system.
Besides, polling agents have the publicly announced results. Control your mouths. Don’t set Nigeria on fire over #NigeriaDecides2023,” Omokri tweeted.
