The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has addressed the Royal Institute of International Affairs on the 2023 general elections. The former Governor of Lagos State, on Monday, outlined his agenda and policies to the UK’s elite Foreign and Policy Think-tank institution at the Chatham House in London.
The address of the APC flagbearer focused on national security, economy, and foreign policy imperatives. He also spoke on his recently unveiled manifesto titled ‘Renewing hope’ in Nigeria.
He also address the experts on his policy proposals for economic reform and revival and how to deliver secure and inclusive job opportunities for Nigerian citizens.
Tinubu was accompanied to the event by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna and Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Deputy Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Hadiza Bala-Usman; Wale Edun among others.
Recall that in 2011, Tinubu spoke at Chatham House on the rebirth of the opposition in Nigerian politics. The session was titled: “Democracy and the rebirth of the opposition in Nigeria”.
