‘It’s Better To Send Representative Than Run Away’ – Kwankwaso Fires Tinubu Over Absence

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has slammed his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, for failing to attend the debate organized for presidential candidates.

News360 info reports that the debate was organised by Arise Television in collaboration with the Centre for Development and Democracy (CDD) at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on Sunday.

The debate was organised by Arise Television in collaboration with the Centre for Development and Democracy (CDD) at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on Sunday.The former Governor of Kano State noted that due to the busy schedule of some presidential candidates, there may be a need for their running mates to represent them at events.

He said the PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, did well to have sent his running mate to represent him at the event than Tinubu who didn’t show up at all or send any representative.

He said, “No candidate can boast of saying ‘I will attend all of them.’ Whichever group that is having this sort of thing should accept it. I think the man sitting here (pointing to Okowa) is better than the person who did not come or send any representative.”
