The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has accused the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar of sending some people to attack him.
Wike stated this on Friday while addressing newsmen at the Port Harcourt International Airport, shortly after he returned from Spain.
The former presidential aspirant wondered why the likes of Sule Lamido, Babangida Aliyu, and Maina Waziri, abused him in their statements despite calling for peace in the party.
Wike vowed to reply to all the statements released by Atiku and ‘his attack dogs’.
He further stated that he has been minding his business and looking for a way forward for his state, yet people keep attacking him.
Wike said, “Look at his attack dogs, Sule Lamido, Babangida Aliyu, Maina Waziri; look at the statements they issued. Look at the abuses they rained on me.
“It is important that as a person and for my future and for those who are around me, to say that this is not fair. I will react line by line to the statements made by Atiku Abubakar himself and his attack dogs.
“Anybody who loves me will not advise me not to react. If a presidential candidate, who believes he wants to win an election, and somebody who contested fiercely with him has never raised any issues, just kept quiet minding my business to see how my state can move forward; but every day his people come up to attack me. It is quite unfair.”
