Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 18 internet fraudsters in the Kurudu region of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Wilson Uwujaren, Spokesperson of the anti-graft agency via Facebook, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, July 21, where he stated that the fraudsters were nabbed at Army state phase five, Kurudu, following an intelligence report received by the anti graft agency about their involvement in the internet-related fraud.
The anti-graft agency identified the suspects as: Innocent Samson, Obiora Eze, Ifeanyi Joseph, Isdore Chinedu, Badaki Linus, Ameh Nick, Kelvin Chima, Akwa Iwu Promise Ifeanyi, Adekunle Samuel.
Others are: Abutu John, Testimony Mathiew, Omale Mary Ochanya (female), Afarm Darlington Edwin, Henry John, Urochukwu Abel, Ogieto Gift, Innocent Gideon, Ojimini Maduemyi Raymond, Mathiew Timothy, and Kingsley Chukwuemeka.
Items recovered from the suspects include three cars: a Lexus RX 350, Lexus ES 350 and Peugeot 306, a motorbike, six laptop computers, and mobile phones.
