A former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and political activist, Prince Deji Adeyanju, has mocked the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, over the choice of his running mate.
It has been reported that the Labour Party is set to unveil former presidential aspirant and Senator, Datti Baba Ahmed as the running mate to Obi for the 2023 elections.
Baba Ahmed, the founder of Baze University in Abuja, was selected from numerous other candidates.
The unveiling of the former PDP chieftain will be done today at the Labour Party’s secretariat.
Reacting to the impending emergence of Baba Ahmed as a running mate to Obi, Adeyanju opined that the former Anambra State governor should have picked a former northern governor.
The political activist described Peter Obi’s ambition as social media presidency.
He wrote: “If it is true that Datti Baba Ahmed is Obi’s VP, then I’m sure this is a social media presidency.
This ticket reminds me of Shehu Sani, who has 2.6m followers on Twitter but scored two votes at PDP primaries.
Of all the jobless former Governors in the North, Obi couldn’t find any.”
