Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one of the frontline aspirant currently battling for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Lagos State Governor was able to convince seven other presidential aspirants to step down and back him at the APC primaries.
Those who stepped down for Tinubu include: Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; Senator Ajayi Borroffice; Mrs Uju Ken-Ohanenye; and Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State.
Before the seven aspirant stepped down, Bola Tinubu was called to the podium to convince delegates, for the last time, to vote for him ahead of other aspirants.
The APC national leader could be seen shaking vigorously while delivering his speech.
Bola Tinubu was also helped up and down the podium by his security aides.
Many Nigerians have called on Tinubu to drop his presidential ambition for a younger candidate, citing his old age and his alleged failing health.
