Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday shared a warm handshake with Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo after defeating him in the party presidential primary.
The National Leader of the ruling party on Wednesday defeated Osinbajo and the former minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and other presidential aspirants.
About 2,322 delegates from across the country voted for their preferred presidential aspirants in the presidential primary which was held at the Eagles Square.
Tinubu defeated Osinbajo with a wide margin to emerge as the sole candidate of the party.
After President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the arena, the national leader of the ruling party went to the podium to shake hands with the Commander-in-Chief and the first lady, Aisha.
Tinubu also stopped briefly to shake hands with Osinbajo and exchanged a few words.
The presidential candidate of the APC would contest against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
