The chances of Presidential aspirant, Governor Nyesom Wike winning the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, may cause uncertainty for northern stakeholders in the party.
Deji Adeyanju, popular rights activist, on Friday, said this while alleging that Wike’s presidential interest in PDP was causing crisis in the South-East.
He wondered how the PDP plans to win the 2023 presidential election as a divided party.
On his Twitter page, Adeyanju wrote: “If Wike wins the PDP ticket, I see many of the Northern stakeholders leaving the party or working against him within because they already believe he is responsible for the manipulation of many congresses across the country.
“Imagine organizing parallel primaries in Akwa Ibom because Udom is running for president. See the thing they are doing in Edo. PDP is in complete crisis in the South-East because of Wike’s interest.
“How do you intend to win the general election after dividing your party so much like this because of primaries?”
