A video of an alleged mermaid has left tongues wagging on social media.

The video posted on Instagram by @thandiubani, showed what appeared to be a black mermaid wriggling on the ground.

It was gathered the mermaid came out of the water.

But, since the video was posted online, people have been reacting.
