War: Femi Fani-Kayode blows hot as Ukraine, Poland mistreat Nigerians, other Africans

A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted angrily to the reported mistreatment of Nigerians and citizens of other African countries by Polish and Ukrainian authorities.

There are reports that Poland and the other European nations that border Ukraine are not allowing Africans into their countries.

They are said to be only willing to open their doors to fleeing Ukrainians, Indians, Arabs and other nationals to take refuge in their country.

Right now, there are hundreds of African students stranded on the Polish border.

The Ukrainians themselves are said to be stopping Africans to board the free trains that they provided for people.

“That is how low down the ladder Africans are now; it is so sad & I am glad that the BBC has reported it,” the former minister tweeted.

Treating Nigerians and other Africans with such contempt is unacceptable. Do our people not have the right to flee from Russian bombs and carnage too & save their lives? This is nothing but pure racism and it is evil.

Even when they are fighting and people are dying, the Europeans are still denying some people access to their borders simply because of their skin color. How wicked can they be?

Where are all the pro-Ukrainian Nigerian and African voices now?” He queried.

War began in Ukraine on Thursday and has entered the fourth day after President Vladimir Putin ordered his army to invade their neighbours over some political issues.
