The body of Timothy Adegoke, an MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), who was killed inside Hilton Hotel in Osun State, was released to his family members for burial today January 28.
Mr Adegoke died mysteriously inside the hotel where he lodged.
His remains were handed over to the family by the authorities of the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital in Osogbo and the body was on Friday afternoon taken to his hometown, Eruwa, in Oyo State.
The elder brother of the deceased, Gbade Adegoke with two clerics came to retrieve the corpse at the hospital morgue.
They drove the corpse out of the premises of the hospital around 12:45 pm.
Gbade Adegoke confirmed that burial for his late brother had been slated for Saturday, 29th January 2022 in Oyo State.
“There won’t be any problem in getting justice for my brother with his burial. Those suspects will surely face the wrath of the law,” he stressed.
A candlelight procession will hold later today for the deceased.
Adegoke travelled from Abuja to Ile-Ife to write an examination at Moro, a campus of the university and lodged at Hilton Hotel and Resort before he was declared missing and eventually found dead.
Five workers of the Hotel and its owner, Chief Rahman Adedoyin were arrested in connection with the matter and are currently detained at the Osun police Command headquarters, Osogbo.
