Security is everybody’s business – Nigerian Army

The Commander, Sector 2 Operation Lafiya Dole, Brig.- Gen. Adamu Nura, has engaged writers to focus on Nigeria’s public interest in their reporting.

Nura made the appeal, on Friday, while facilitating individuals from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), who paid him a polite visit in Damaturu, adding that security is everyone’s business.

“Public interest is a higher priority than some other interests, including public interest; since when you ensure public interest, the public interest will naturally be covered”, he said.

He, consequently, urged journalists to consistently help out security organizations, to ensure the public interest in their revealing, and try not to give any form of publicity to terrorists.

“Security is everybody’s business, without security nothing can be achieved.” he said.
