An application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for the capture of previous Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was on Wednesday December 2 dismissed by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
This came after EFCC’s indicting counsel, Mr Mohammed Abubakar requested a capture warrant from the court against the ex-serve following his nonattendance from Wednesday’s procedures of his preliminary including claimed redirection of N26m he got from the then National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, in 2014.
Femi Fani-Kayode’s legal counselor, Mr Wale Balogun anyway contradicted the application and furthermore offered a clinical report dated November 24, 2020 in which the previous clergyman was encouraged to notice some bed rest.
Administering on the application, Justice John Tsoho, who is likewise the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court dismissed on grounds of FFK’s legal advisor demonstrating that he had legitimate grounds to be missing from the preliminary on Wednesday.
The case was then dismissed till February 23 and 24.
