Leader of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has cautioned that there could be rebellion if the Senate is rejected as being clamored by certain Nigerians.
Or maybe, he tested the individuals who are not happy with the legislators in the current ninth Senate to remove them in 2023 in the event that they don’t care for their appearances.
Lawan expressed this on Friday while pronouncing open, a retreat for top administration staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission in Abuja.
He portrayed the Senate as a leveler which guaranteed that all pieces of the nation are similarly spoken to dissimilar to the House of Representatives where states with higher populaces produce the most elevated number of administrators.
The Senate President also faulted the argument of those clamouring for the scrapping of the Senate because of the perceived jumbo pay being earned by the senators.
He said the annual budget of the National Assembly is less than one per cent of the nation’s 2021 budget.
