Reacting to the reports, many took to their respective Twitter pages to wade into the matter and speak against Dbanj.
Popular Nigerian singer Dbanj is currently trending on micro blogging platform, Twitter, following recent allegations that Seyitan Babatayo, a lady who accused him of sexual abuse, was detained by the police.
Many took to the micro blogging platform to call out the singer and suggest that the move only makes him look guilty and appear as if he is trying to silence and intimidate his accuser.
Earlier on, popular investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi, had called the attention of the public claiming that Seyitan was taken into detention on Tuesday, June 16, and restricted from getting access to her lawyers, family members and friends.
The journalist also noted that Seyitan’s lawyers were of the view she was being detained in other to get her to recant her accusations against the music star.
Reacting to the reports, many took to their respective Twitter pages to wade into the matter and speak against Dbanj.
“@iamdbanj Why have you had a woman who accused you of rape detained without access to her friends, family or legal representation? Threatening and silencing her does not acquit you,” one user wrote.
Another lady said: “Nah Dbanj isn’t trying to get justice. He’s not trying to clear his name. He’s trying to silence Seyitan. You arrest her, give her no access to legal assistance & then take over socials ? Hide information that benefits your agenda ? Right before our eyes?”

Let's say Dbanj was "falsely accused" of rape, on what ground is he using the police to detain her? Isn't this a matter for the courts?

I've always said the Nigerian police are just a bunch of broke, frustrated, tattered folks who can be controlled with small money.
Is Dbanj the police? Y’all just want to drag. You think if this matter gets to court any judge would hold Dbanj accountable for any action of the police

It’s all to intimidate her, when you have money and power in Nigeria this is what happens.

Arresting Seyitan and her mum, deleting her tweets, refusing her access to her lawyers because you have Nigeria police on your side will not prove your innocence. Police intimidation and bullying have already made this rape case worse. Dbanj you played yourself.
