Five Gombe lawmakers contract COVID-19

The identities of the lawmakers were not disclosed though they have been admitted at different isolation centres in the state

Five members of the Gombe state House of Assembly have tested positive for COVID-19.

Chairman of the state task force on COVID-19, Prof Idris Mohammed, disclosed this today June 8 while briefing newsmen on the state’s fight against the novel Coronavirus.

According to Mohammed, the lawmakers whose identities were not disclosed have been admitted at different isolation centres in the state.

The state currently has 217 confirmed cases of the viral disease.
