Nigeria confirms 14 new cases of COVID-19, total now 288

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 14 additional cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

NCDC  made the announcement via its verified Twitter account 

“Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 13 in Lagos and 1 in Delta State As at 09:30 pm 9th April there are 288 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fifty-one have been discharged with seven deaths

“This totals the number of recorded cases to 288.”

The Herald yesterday reported that a team of 15 Chinese doctors arrived the country to help Nigeria fight against the virus.

The Doctors will use their knowledge and expertise in infectious disease to help the country defeat the menace of COVID-19.

However, National Medical Association (NMA) and National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have stated in no uncertain terms that the foreign Doctors have no licence to practice in Nigeria.
