UK Health Secretary, Matt Hancock has tested positive for coronavirus, just hours after Prime minister Boris Johnson announced he had also contracted COVID-19.
The 41-year-old who is overseeing the efforts of the NHS to cope with the epidemic in UK announced the news on Twitter, saying he had experienced mild symptoms of the virus and will be self-isolating until next Thursday.
He wrote on Twitter: Following medical advice, I was advised to test for #Coronavirus. I‘ve tested positive. Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I’m working from home & self-isolating.
