Charter company issues new helicopter to Osinbajo after crash [PHOTO]

Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc, the public limited company holding Caverton Helicopters Limited and Caverton Marine Limited, has released another helicopter to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Recall that Osinbajo’s chartered helicopter had crash-landed in Kabba on Saturday.

Caverton group had earlier attributed the chopper crash involving Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and 11 others to hazy weather conditions.

Briefing the media yesterday, Capt. Josiah Choms, the Managing Director of Caverton Helicopters, disclosed that an Augusta AW139 chopper which conveyed Osinbajo and his team lost control as it was about to touch down, at about 3:00 p.m., in Kabba, Kogi State.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Sunday commenced investigation into Saturday’s crash landing of the helicopter.

Mr. Sam Adurogboye, General Manager, Public Relations, said the investigation was being conducted by the Accident Investigations Bureau (AIB), the statutory agency saddled with the task of investigating such serious incidents and accidents
