The Economic Finance and Crime Commission (EFCC), yesterday, quizzed the former board chairman of Nigeria Social Reinsurance Trust Fund over allegation bordering on fraud perpetrated during her tenure as well as the 2015 presidential election campaign funds.
The commission had in September declared Olejeme and the managing director of the Fund Alhaji Abubakr wanted over failure to honour their invitation in June this year.
Olejeme a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and former gubernatorial aspirant in Delta tate arrived the Idiagbon House headquarters of the anti-graft commission in a black V6 BMW car at about 12 noon in company of her lawyer and walked straight to the operation department of the commission
The anti-graft agency had invited Mrs Olejeme based on several petitions indicting her of massive diversion of public funds and mismanagement while at the helm of affairs at the fund.
Our source disclosed that Olejeme was grilled by the operatives of the commission for over several hours where she answered questions on the activities of the Trust fund.
As at press time she was said to be in the custody of the commission.
