Ameer Isah Hassan (born June 22, 2003) better known by his stage names Lil Ameer, ‘Dan Autan Mawaka, was a Nigerian singer-songwriter and entertainer. He was the youngest musician from northern Nigeria, one of the most decorated and successful young hip hop artist in that region.
Based in Kano, young rapper Lil ameer, reportedly died in an accident after motorcycle that was carrying him was hit by a car along the Western By-pass in Kano on the 14th of September.
Lil ameer started his rap career at the age of 9. He was buried on Friday in Kano State.
Lil ameer was born in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria and was from the Hausa ethnic group in the northern part of Nigeria. He attended primary school in Kano and was completing his Secondary education until death called. Ameer was encouraged by his parents in pursuing his dream of becoming a musician. Lil Ameer’s Mother was once his song writer and contributed a lot in his successes.
Hassan’s songs were one of which was for consecutive weeks topping the top ten charts at Raypower 100.5 FM station in Kano. His songs were played on Wazobia FM 94.1 and Dala FM.
Hassan’s career in music began at the age of 12 with his popular songs which includes “Kai Matsa Mana”, “Dance For Me”, “I Am A Champion”, “Ilimin Boko da na Addinin Musulunci”, and many others.
