The 2017 Budget was on Tuesday morning laid before the Senate.
With the laying, the process for the consideration and passage of the Budget has begun in the Senate.
The Chairman of the Appropriation Committee of the Senate, Senator Danjuma Goje, had two weeks ago said the laying of the Budget was delayed by the raid on his house by the police.
Goje alleged that some of the documents carted away by the police had to do with the Budget.
The police denied the allegation, but then returned all the documents and cash taken away from the house.
