The Lagos State Command said it has noticed an upsurge in application for tinted glass permit.
According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, the upsurge in application is believed to be connected with the increase in use of motor vehicle during the festive season.
The Command therefore reiterated its earlier announcement that approval for tinted glass permit is free and that vehicle owners should not pay for the service.
It warned against falling for the antics of extortionists, whether in uniform or civil clothes, who collect money from applicants under the guise of facilitating the permit.
Badmos added: “In addition, members of the public are to note that tinted glass permits are issued to only vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses, as usage of improvised tinted glass permit is totally prohibited.”
